Created in 1983, the Mineralogical and Paleontological Association of Bogny-sur-Meuse operates in the field of geology, mineralogy and paleontology.

She is a member of the Amateur Federation of Mineralogy and Paleontology, is part of the Management Committee of the National Nature Reserves of Pointe de Givet and Vireux-Molhain as well as the Departmental Commission for Nature and Sites. and the Scientific Council of the Ardennes Regional Natural Park.

Its activities are numerous:

- discovery outings of Ardennes geology,

- organization of thematic exhibitions and conferences,

- prospecting trips,

- organization of the international minerals and fossils exhibition
